Shipston Five Milers

Status:Active, open to new members
Leader:
Group email: Shipston Five Milers group
When: Fortnightly on Wednesday mornings 10:00 am
2nd & last Wednesday
Cost: There is no cost for the walk, refreshments not included!

Our walks are around 5 miles long and take a couple hours, but enjoying our beautiful countryside whilst talking with each other is our main attraction. Each walk is planned in advance so members can be given details of the meeting point and about parking, whether there are hills and/or  stiles, arrangements for refreshments and what we expect the weather to be.

There may be a theme - historical battle sites, deserted villages, stately homes, views from high points, etc.

We welcome new members and also encourage different members to plan and lead walks whenever possible.

Our traditional meeting point is the Bridge St car park in Shipston, but we have also met in Wilmington, Mickleton, Brailes, Meon Vale, Stowe, Stratford, Whichford, Todenham, Tysoe, and Wellesbourne, so anywhere within 10 miles of Shipston with car-sharing where possible.
