Greek - language, culture, philosophy - is the basis of our culture today.  Anyone learning the language will be amazed at how much of English derives from Greek.  Literature, architecture, ideas - all derive from Greece - Athens in particular. 

We are learning Classical Greek using Oxford Cambridge & RSA textbooks - the books  are those generally used in schools. This group is not suitable for absolute beginners as we are now well into the grammar of Ancient Greek
